在美國俄亥俄州出生的Legend，本名為John Stephens。三歲在祖父的教導下開始接觸鋼琴，七歲時教堂師班中練習歌唱技巧並學習古典樂。於01年認識了事業剛起步KANYE WEST，並在同年加入了KANYE旗下的”GOOD Music”成為當下首位藝人。在多年的幕後洗禮後於04年推出專輯《Get Lifted》，這張專輯寫下了全球三百萬張的銷售佳績，並在下張專輯《Once Again》，逐漸讓Legend在樂壇中大放異彩。
今天要介紹的"Ordinary People"收錄在第一張專輯《Get Lifted》中。整首歌中只用了鋼琴做伴奏，讓Legend能更完美的詮釋整首歌所要表達的意境。
